Stroganoff

I got this basic recipe for stroganoff from my 10-year-old nephew. I wish he'd come spend more time with me in the kitchen! Anyway, today was one of those rainy days which just begs you to stay home in some cozy clothes, eat comfort food and watch a movie...so we did.

Beef Stroganoff
*4 servings wide egg noodles
*1/2 lb. ground beef, cooked (or you can use canned beef, which will be more shredded)
*1 can cream of mushroom soup
*1 c. sour cream
*1 oz. cream cheese (optional, but I highly recommend it)
*1/4 c. milk
*1 TBSP. red wine vinegar (I used balsamic and boy was it tasty)
*pepper to taste

In a large pot, cook noodles as per package instructions. In a saucepan stir remaining ingredients to combine and warm over medium heat until noodles are ready. Pour sauce over noodles and serve. We like ours with a little Parmesan cheese on top. Tonight we served it with some yummy bread I'll post about soon.
