Dumplings

It rained all day at our house. It was gray and cloudy and the kind of rain that leaves you feeling cold just to look at it. This kind of weather meant we had no choice but to have dumplings for dinner. I've eaten and loved the real chicken and dumplings that resembles homemade chicken noodle soup with yummy dough pillows throughout, but this is how we ate them growing up. Nothing fancy here, just comfort food.

2 c. Bisquick
2/3 c. milk
1 envelope Lipton Noodle Soup

In a pot bring 4 1/2 c. water to a boil. In a mixing bowl combine Bisquick and milk and stir to combine. Add soup packet to boiling water and stir to combine.
Drop dough by heaping spoonfuls into boiling soup. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 10 minutes. Put lid on pot and simmer another 10 minutes.
Serve hot.
I like mine with a pile of cubed cheddar. You could use any chicken soup you'd like, or even use the noodle soup as a base and add some frozen veggies...

I love your recipes. I now live in Australia, and am unable to find Bisquick, and don't remember what's in it. Are you able to break it down, and tell us how to make home made Bisquick? Thanks for everything.
