White Frosting

This recipe was featured as a must-try recipe, and although I was pretty skeptical about the flour instead of powdered sugar, I tried it for some birthday cupcakes. This had mixed reviews, but all the kids loved it, so for a lower-sugar option, I'd say give it a try.
*1 c. milk
*5 TBSP. flour
*1 tsp. vanilla
*1 c. butter, soft
*1 c. granulated sugar
In a small saucepan, whisk flour into milk over medium heat and continue whisking until milk thickens. Remove from heat and allow to cool to room temperature. Stir in vanilla
While mixture is cooling, beat butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Pour in milk mixture and continue to beat until it resembles whipped cream.
